ACTOR PORTAITS
ACTOR PORTAITS
Welcome to Studio CoNo
Hi there,
To celebrate the launch of my new photo studio in Coburg North, I’m offering a limited number of complimentary creative portrait sessions for professional actors with training or on-screen experience.
This isn’t your standard headshot, it’s an opportunity to create something far more expressive, cinematic, and emotionally driven that truly sets you apart.
My approach leans into nuanced lighting, emotive direction, and collaborative image making to help actors get noticed.
If you’re looking for portraits that go deeper than the usual headshot and showcase your acting range, I’d love to hear from you.
This offer is strictly limited, so if it resonates with you, please get in touch to register your interest.

Portrait Style Guide
Tips to help you look and feel your best for your portrait session
1. Overall Vibe
These sessions aren’t traditional actor headshots. They’re cinematic portraits that lean into mood, emotion, and character. Think: expressive, layered, textured, and slightly atmospheric.
Come open to collaboration, trying ideas, and exploring different emotional beats.
2. What to Wear
Choose clothing that feels authentic to you and supports the mood we’re creating.
Best options:
Autumn tones that feel warm, muted, and cinematic: burgundy, burnt oranges, mustard yellows, olive greens, slate blues, etc.
Solid neutrals also work great (black, grey, cream, brown)
Simple textures: knits, denim, linen, cotton
Clothing that fits well and feels comfortable
Layers: jackets, overshirts, scarves, etc.
Avoid:
Loud logos or busy patterns
Neon or overly bright colours
Shiny or reflective fabrics
Distracting jewellery
Bring 3–4 outfit options. We’ll select the strongest combinations together at the studio.
3. Hair & Makeup
Keep things natural and minimal. The goal is to capture emotional depth within the image.
General guidance:
Hair: Arrive styled how you normally wear it, but feel free to change it slightly during the session for variety. Bring a brush or product for quick touch-ups.
Makeup (if you wear it): Keep it subtle and clean. Avoid heavy contouring or shiny products. Small adjustments between outfit or lighting changes can help create different looks.
4. Expression & Emotion
These portraits are about showing your presence and emotional range, not just smiling for the camera. Be ready to tap into real moments of feeling, that’s where your most powerful images emerge.
5. Before the Session
Simple prep goes a long way:
Rest well
Drink plenty of water
Avoid heavy alcohol the night before
Arrive 10 minutes early
6. What to Bring
Your outfit options
Water bottle
Hairbrush or product for small adjustments
Any reference ideas or mood inspiration you have, this is a collaboration
7. During the Shoot
I’ll guide you throughout the session - posture, expression, movement, and emotional cues. Expect a calm, collaborative environment where we explore creative ideas together with cinematic lighting and professional equipment creating the atmosphere.
8. After the Shoot
I will carefully curate the strongest images from the session and professionally retouch them to create the final portraits. You’ll receive only the best images that showcase your range and the cinematic, emotive style we’ve captured.
