Heatherly Design

The shoot for Heatherly Design was approached with an editorial sensibility, creating imagery that felt naturally lit, warm and grounded. I used a single light source positioned outside the room at a low angle to recreate the feeling of evening sunlight coming through the space.

The result was an immediate warmth and gentle glow that gave the interiors a more natural, lived-in quality. This helped position the bedding within a relatable environment, allowing the products to feel less like styled objects and more like something genuinely desirable to live with.

It reinforced how a relatively simple lighting approach can have a significant effect on how a product is perceived. By focusing on atmosphere and the way people might actually experience the space, the imagery became more inviting and emotionally engaging without losing its commercial purpose.
